The British Photodermatology Group (BPG) is a special interest society of the British Association of Dermatologists, and acts as a forum of communication for all those with an interest in photodermatology.

The BPG facilitates dissemination of results of clinical and basic science research in photodermatology at the annual British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and British Society of Investigative Dermatologists (BSID) Meetings. These meetings consist of talks by invited speakers of international stature in the field of photodermatology, followed by short communications.

The BPG also organises workshops to explore particular aspects of photodermatology in detail. Information gathered at such workshops is disseminated in the form of reports published in appropriate journals.

The BPG is represented by a committee including a Chairman and Honorary Secretary/Treasurer who each hold office for a period of 3 years. There are up to 8 other committee members, and a trainee member. The committee consists of a minimum of 2 clinicians and 2 non-clinicians.
